Compostable bags manufacturers in India

As India strictly enforces single-use plastic bans, retail brands, e-commerce giants, and supermarkets face an urgent shift: transitioning to reliable, compliant, and truly sustainable packaging. Finding reliable compostable bags manufacturers in India is no longer just about meeting corporate sustainability goals it is essential for regulatory compliance.

At SAKRT, we manufacture 100% plant-based, CPCB-certified compostable packaging designed to fully replace traditional polythene without sacrificing strength, shelf-life, or durability.

The Rising Demand for Certified Compostable Packaging in India

With strict Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) mandates and state-level bans across Karnataka and India, conventional single-use plastics are being phased out. However, many alternatives on the market fail to deliver:

  • Oxo-degradable bags merely break down into harmful microplastics.
  • Low-quality paper bags lack moisture resistance and tear easily under heavy loads.

True compostable packaging engineered from natural starches offers a complete solution. It performs identically to traditional plastic during use, but fully biodegrades into natural biomass, carbon dioxide, and water within 180 days in composting conditions.
