Why Wrapping Films?

Wrapping film is a key packaging option that gives good protection, is easy to use, and is better for the environment all at once. Whether you’re moving furniture, holding down heavy items, or wrapping food-safe products, wrapping film is strong and reliable without hurting the planet.

This type of film is made to be tough and not easy to tear, so it holds things tightly during shipping and when they’re stored. It’s clear, so you can quickly see what’s inside. Plus, it can be broken down at home or recycled, making it a better choice than regular plastic films.

By using compostable wrapping film, you help cut down on plastic waste, keep your goods safe, and help make the world a cleaner place. It’s a smart choice for both businesses and families.

FAQs
What is compostable wrapping film made of?

It is usually made from biobased polymers like Polylactic Acid (PLA), which comes from plants such as corn or sugarcane, and PBAT, a type of biodegradable plastic that helps make the film flexible and sticky.

What is the difference between cling film and stretch film?

Cling filmalso called food wrap, is a thin and flexible film that you use to cover food.
It helps keep food fresh by allowing some air to pass through while keeping it sealed. Stretch filmsometimes called pallet wrap, is a thicker and stronger type of film. It is used to wrap heavy boxes or pallets to hold them together and prevent them from moving during transport.

Is it safe for touching food?

Yes. Most good compostable food and cling wraps don’t have BPA, are not harmful, and have been checked safe for food by official groups. Make sure to look for a foodsafe mark on the package before using it.

Does it break down while sitting on the shelf?

No.
These films stay stable at room temperature. They only start to break down when they are in composting conditions, like when they come into contact with waterheat, and tiny living organisms.

Can I put it in my regular recycling bin?

Compostable films shouldn’t go into normal plastic recycling bins because they can mix with other plastics and mess up the recycling process.
